Seafoam Goddess Beads

I strung this long necklace in the style of Mala Meditation or Prayer Beads. 

This strand contains more beads than a traditional Mala but I wanted it to hang long and luxuriously. So if using this for Mantras or meditation you will get in a few extras which can't be bad!

I made this Goddess figure from Polymer clay and Prasiolite. She is a stylised version of The Willendorf woman - a figure found in Germany in 1908 that was dated as 30 000 years old. She is thought to represent creativity, birth, fertility, sexual union, nurturing, and the cycle of life. 

The crystal in the Goddess is facet cut Green Amethyst also known as Prasiolite.

Prasiolite is a naturally pale green Quartz crystal. This crystal strengthens peace and calm, and brings generosity, growth, health, happiness, harmony, stability, and fertility. 

The crystal beads are all 100% natural 4-8mm beads in Amazonite, Blue Apatite,  Labradorite, White Moonstone, Rainbow Moonstone, Green Aventurine, White Fossilized Coral Prehnite and Angelite. 

Some of these beads are handmade so they are not perfectly round or symmetrical - which is why I love them so much! I hand knotted each bead in place for strength and security. Should the necklace part (unlikely) the beads will not come away. This also gives the necklace flow, functionality and longevity. The beads are not strung tightly together, so the string can bend and move easily like a string of pearls, without the beads grinding together. 

The beaded length of this  necklace is 88cm. The goddess figure is height 35mm. The entire necklace weighs 41g.

I use high quality Linhasita macrame cord imported from Brazil. I believe it is the best on the market, it is very durable and long lasting.
