Mother Goddess Mala

I made this long necklace in the style of Mala Meditation or Prayer beads.

Traditional mala necklaces have 108 beads, which reflects a sacred number in both Hinduism and Buddhism. 

I made this Goddess figure from Ploymer clay and Rainbow Moonstone. She is a stylised version of The Willendorf woman - a figure found in Germany in 1908 that was dated as 30 000 years old. She is thought to represent creativity, birth, fertility, sexual union, nurturing, and the cycle of life.

Rainbow Moonstone is a stone of protection for women and children, especially pregnant women and babies. It has been used for centuries to enhance fertility and is believed to support women's reproductive health all around, from easing menstrual problems to soothing fluctuating hormones, to assisting a woman in childbirth. It works with all 7 chakras to allow energy to flow freely and gently. It holds a very calming and soothing energy. 

Kunzite is often known as The Woman's Stone as it helps with symptoms of premenstrual Syndromes (PMS) like mood swings, breast tenderness, irritability, and depression. It eases migraines and helps to recover from physical and mental stress.

Kunzite can be especially helpful to Mothers caring for young children. It has a calming effect on both Mother and child assisting with ragged emotions and sleep patterns.This crystal is strongly linked to the heart chakra and is helpful to anyone craving emotional healing and a more open-hearted approach to life.

Fossilized Coral is not only a grounding stone, but a stone of change, meaning it can help us make the longstanding changes we have been putting off and help us stick with them. It is an excellent stone for embarking down a new path. 

Sandalwood has strong spiritual significance in India and East Asia. It is used at funeral ceremonies; burnt so the scent can carry the soul into the next life. The aroma, which retains its fragrance for decades, comes from the wood itself rather than the leaves or flowers. The warm soothing scent of sandalwood helps the mind to unwind and helps open the heart to love.

I added a genuine 14k gold plated  Tarot card charm to complete this necklace.

This necklace is approximately 86cm long and weighs 51g. The goddess pendant is 41mm tall. 

I use high quality Linhasita macrame cord imported from Brazil. I believe it is the best on the market, it is very durable and long lasting. Each bead has been hand knotted into place.
