Elemental Godess Mala

I made this long necklace in the style of Mala Meditation or Prayer beads.

Traditional mala necklaces have 108 beads, which reflects a sacred number in both Hinduism and Buddhism. 

I moulded this Godess figure from Ploymer clay and Carnelian. She is a stylised version of The Willendorf woman - a figure found in Germany in 1908 that was dated as 30 000 years old. She is thought to represent creativity, birth, fertility, sexual union, nurturing, and the cycle of life.

Ancient warriors wore carnelian around their neck for courage and physical strength. It is also known to enhance passion and desire. 

Carnelian stimulates the Sacral Chakra which is the seat of our intuition and "gut feelings". The red tones in this crystal can aid the Root Chakra - in gaining a deeper knowledge of ones' self and our purpose on this earth.

Moss Agate is a stone of new beginnings. It refreshes the soul and enables you to see beauty in all you behold. I love it because it really looks like Moss encased in crystal! 

Sodalite brings order and calmness to the mind. It encourages rational thought, objectivity, truth and intuition, along with verbalisation of feelings. Sodalite brings emotional balance and calms panic attacks. It enhances self-esteem, self-acceptance and self love.

Rosewood is said to attract abundance and prosperity into your life, a wonderful tool for manifesting your dreams into reality. A very protective wood believed to shield you from any negative energy, it is also worn as a calming influence and good for sleep.

This necklace is approximately 102cm long and weighs 63g. The goddess pendant is 36mm tall. 

I use high quality Linhasita macrame cord imported from Brazil. I believe it is the best on the market, it is very durable and long lasting. Each bead has been hand knotted in to place.
