Baltic Amber Necklace

Genuine certified Baltic Amber from Lithuania, hand knotted by me.

This type of Amber is found in  the Baltic Sea region in modern-day Russia (especially Kaliningrad Oblast), Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and other Baltic states. 

Because of its long history in jewelry making, archaeological trade, and cultural symbolism — from Neolithic Europe to ancient Roman campaigns — Baltic amber has earned a reputation as “true” amber and remains highly prized compared with many other amber types found around the world. 

Many people believe that when Baltic amber is worn against the skin, body warmth releases tiny amounts of succinic acid, which is then absorbed and may support the body’s response to inflammation and discomfort. This idea has been popularized especially around teething necklaces and other amber jewelry, with succinic acid being touted for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and pain-soothing properties. 

Each bead is hand knotted in to place and I've made this necklace long enough to slip easily over your head, so it doesnt have a clasp. 

This necklace is 60cm long and weighs 10g. 

I use high quality Linhasita macrame cord imported from Brazil. I believe it is the best on the market, it is very durable and long lasting.
