Crystal Suncatchers
Each crystal mobile is individually handcrafted by me from my home studio in the forest of southern Tasmania.
No two crystals are ever identical — and because of that, no two mobiles can be. I wire each piece intuitively, allowing the natural shape, weight, and presence of the stones to guide their placement. The design evolves slowly in my hands, balancing strength with softness, structure with flow.
Suspended in a room, a crystal mobile does more than decorate a space — it shifts it.
The gentle movement encourages energy to circulate rather than settle. The natural weight of the stones grounds the atmosphere, while their elevation draws the eye upward, creating a sense of openness and quiet expansion.
At the base, a precision-cut glass rainbow maker captures sunlight and fractures it into drifting spectrums of colour. As the light moves throughout the day, living rainbows glide across walls and ceilings — soft prisms that awaken the room and subtly lift its mood.
There is something deeply regulating about watching light move. It slows the nervous system. It invites presence. It turns an ordinary moment into something luminous.
I use anodised aluminium wire for its strength, durability, and refined matte finish. Lightweight and fully recyclable, it allows the crystals to appear almost suspended in air.
These pieces are not mass-produced. Each one is a small conversation between earth and light — grounded, radiant, and entirely one of a kind.
