I made this long necklace in the style of Mala Meditation or Prayer beads.

Traditional mala necklaces have 108 beads, which reflects a sacred number in both Hinduism and Buddhism.

I made this Goddess figure from Polymer clay and Blue Chalcedony. She is a stylised version of The Willendorf woman - a figure found in Germany in 1908 that was dated as 30 000 years old. She is thought to represent creativity, birth, fertility, sexual union, nurturing, and the cycle of life.

Jasper is recognised as the “supreme nurturer”. Sea Sediment Jasper helps one find inner peace, clarity, love and compassion, helping with the alignment of the physical and “Light” bodies and is an excellent stone for emotional healing.

I added Blue Apatite and White Moonstone to reflect the power of time and tide on our healing process.

Rudraksha seeds are produced by several species of large evergreens. These seeds have a strong spiritual significance and are traditionally used as prayer beads by Hindus (especially Shaivas), as well as by Buddhists and Sikhs.

I used a glossy brown Tibetan Dzi Beads as the guru bead.

This necklace is 90cm long and weighs 63g. The Goddess pendant is 36mm tall.

Note **Sea Sediment Jeasper is a genuine stone however I suspect these beads have been enhanced with dye to achieve such a range of beautiful bright blues. Although I normally only use 100% natural crystals I felt these were to pretty not to use! I also tested the beads myself for colour stability. It does not scratch or wear off and I had to grind one down in a mortar and pestle to know for sure.

I use high quality Linhasita macrame cord imported from Brazil. I believe it is the best on the market, it is very durable and long lasting.
